About the Program
Turning Innovative Ideas
into Extraordinary Learning
Since 2018, the Lake Worth Education Foundation has been empowering educators by funding innovative teaching grants that inspire creativity, enhance learning, and make a lasting impact in classrooms across Lake Worth ISD.
Each year, teachers from every campus are invited to submit grant proposals for creative projects, programs, and classroom resources that go beyond the district’s regular budget. These grants represent innovative ideas that educators are passionate about bringing to life but often lack the funding to implement.
LWEF awards grants of up to $5,000 to projects that introduce new learning opportunities, enhance classroom instruction, and create measurable outcomes for students. Over the years, these grants have funded cutting-edge technology, hands-on learning, literacy programs, STEM resources, social-emotional learning tools, and more.
Grant Surprise Day
Foundation board members, district leaders, and community supporters travel from campus to campus, surprising grant recipients in their classrooms with the exciting news that their projects have been funded. The celebration is filled with smiles, cheers, and unforgettable moments as teachers realize their ideas are becoming reality.
